Leicester Square Theatre and the Museum of Comedy require a technical manager
Leicester Square Theatre is looking for a technical manager who will be responsible for all elements of technical requirements in a venue setting. You will be responsible for the smooth and safe operation of shows within the building and liaising with incoming companies and promoters to ensure that their technical requirements are met within a safe environment.
Hours: 40 per week including evening and weekends
We are looking for a proactive individual who is happy to take on a variety of responsibilities with an eye for detail. This includes being responsible for all technical equipment in the building and making sure health and safety procedures are adhered to, ensuring shifts are adequately staffed and managing your team of technicians. You will be responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of the venue in association with the Operations Manager.
We are looking for someone with strong multitasking abilities, adept at handling pressure, and demonstrating efficiency in day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate should excel in prioritising workloads, exhibit meticulous planning skills, and possess effective communication skills for interacting with a wide variety of people, whether in person or through email. You will have at least 5 years experience of working within a technical department with a knowledge of sound, lighting and AV.
You will work across our two venues, Leicester Square Theatre and the Museum of Comedy, in addition to overseeing all technical elements of our in-house show, Sh!t-faced Shakespeare, both in the venue and on tour.
